1. Check the options in your installed version
Begin with the current roster: Human, Minotaur and Elf, alongside Brawler, Mage and Shadow. Use the linked race and class overviews to narrow your choices. The larger advertised roster should not be treated as a list of buttons that must already appear in your creator. Check which game version an older character tutorial is demonstrating before following it.
2. Decide what you want this character to do
Write a short intention such as learning close combat or trying elemental attacks. Use that intention to compare class descriptions, rather than treating a tier label as a substitute for understanding the choice. Then consider which race identity you would enjoy playing alongside it.
This is a planning order, not a claim about the sequence of screens. Read any confirmation text in your game before accepting a choice; this guide does not promise that race, class or appearance can be changed later.
3. Keep the starting choice separate from progression
The current build includes skill and attribute progression as well as equipment upgrades. Creating a character is therefore the beginning of a build, not a complete endgame specification. When reviewing abilities, note their requirements before planning around them; avoid allocating points using a formula that has not been checked against your version.
A practical first-session note needs only three things: the concept you chose, an ability you want to understand, and a question to revisit after playing. There is no need to fill a speculative leveling spreadsheet before your first encounter.
4. Make a final check before entering the world
Review the selections displayed by the creator and any warnings it gives. If playing with friends, agree whose world you intend to use and read the separate multiplayer guide about saved progress. If playing alone, focus on learning the opening area rather than designing a full party.
