Judge the game that is available now
Dimraeth entered Steam Early Access on September 15, 2026. The developer's current-content description includes three races and three classes, a starter region, skill and attribute progression, equipment upgrades, crafting and base building. That is a more useful buying checklist than the larger roster advertised elsewhere in the game's promotion.
The appeal is the combination: a character to develop, encounters to fight and a settlement to build between expeditions. Our assessment is that this combination deserves a look if those activities are all part of what you want from an RPG. Their presence does not establish how polished, balanced or lengthy they feel in practice.
Does the combat concept fit your preferences?
The combat description emphasizes stamina, positioning and choosing when to attack or defend. Character progression includes skills, attributes and equipment rather than only a fixed starting class. If deliberate combat and character development are the attraction, these are relevant features to inspect before buying.
This page has not measured input responsiveness, difficulty spikes, frame rates or build balance. It does not award a score or claim a number of hours played. A feature checklist can explain what a game offers, but it cannot replace footage or testing when your decision depends on how those systems feel.
Check whether your group fits the co-op format
You can play alone or online with up to eight players in total. The official FAQ describes peer-to-peer hosting, without dedicated servers or local split-screen. For a group wanting couch co-op or a persistent dedicated server, those limits are a concrete reason to choose something else for that purpose.
A group that is comfortable using one player's world has a different decision. Read the separate multiplayer guide before planning a continuing campaign: character progress travels, while story progress, recruited allies and buildings belong to a world. That distinction matters more than the maximum player count alone.
Play for the current package, or wait for completion
More regions, character options and deeper systems are planned during Early Access. Those plans are not a finished-content guarantee, and the developer has not fixed a full-release date. Our recommendation is to base a purchase on the present feature set, not on a promised future version.
Consider playing now if that set matches your interests and you are comfortable with ongoing development. Waiting is reasonable if a completed story, a settled balance environment or verified performance on your particular hardware is a prerequisite. Checked September 16, 2026; this assessment does not turn selected player comments into universal findings or pretend to be a personal playtest.
