Exploring the World Beyond Your Home Base

Dimraeth is a handcrafted open-world action RPG. Its current starter region connects the Lost Caverns, Earlwood Village and Wildwood Forest, with exploration feeding character growth, crafting and a home base.

A handcrafted world, not an MMO realm

Dimraeth's world is presented as handcrafted, with exploration and combat alongside crafting and base building. You can explore alone or with a small online party. The official FAQ explicitly distinguishes the game from an MMO, so open world should not be read as a claim that hundreds of strangers share a public realm.

World structure and connection structure are separate questions. The open-world label describes the style of adventure; it does not establish that every region is reachable immediately, that there are no loading transitions, or that the whole planned world is already available. This overview makes none of those promises.

Use the starter region to understand the current scope

The developer identifies a starting sequence from the Lost Caverns through Earlwood Village into Wildwood Forest. These names establish the current opening area without requiring a speculative atlas. They are useful points of reference when distinguishing the available game from descriptions of future regions.

This is a world-structure overview, not a map or a room-by-room walkthrough. It does not assign coordinates, mark exits or reproduce a map from an older demo. For getting started with your first session, use the beginner guide rather than treating this regional outline as an exact quest route.

Exploration feeds the home-base loop

Exploring is connected to gathering materials, fighting enemies and developing your character. The current game also includes crafting and base building, so the home base is part of the progression loop rather than a separate promise for a future update. The developer describes returning from adventures to craft equipment, prepare supplies and develop facilities.

That combination gives exploration two purposes: advancing the adventure and bringing resources back into the settlement systems. It does not establish exact resource locations, drop chances or construction recipes. Those details need their own current-version evidence and are not inferred from the general loop.

Keep the world you explore distinct from your character

In co-op, character level, equipment, inventory, spells and personal progression travel between worlds. Story progress, recruited allies and buildings remain attached to a world. A character joining a friend's adventure therefore does not bring an identical copy of their own settlement and campaign state.

For a continuing group, our practical suggestion is to choose the campaign world before building together. See the multiplayer guide for the hosting limits and save distinction. This page does not claim that a guest's map discoveries or every individual quest flag transfer, because that finer detail has not been established here.

Treat expansion plans as plans

The developer plans additional regions and a longer overall story during Early Access. The present starter-region description is therefore not a complete account of the intended final world. Checked September 16, 2026: no exact map size, final biome count or release schedule is promised by this overview.
