Default keyboard bindings and combat input flow

Dimraeth utilizes a responsive keyboard-and-mouse action scheme tailored for real-time directional combat. By default, WASD handles 8-directional movement, Space executes a stamina-consuming dodge roll with generous invulnerability frames, Left-Click unleashes basic light attack weapon swings, and Right-Click raises your equipped shield or offhand parry weapon.

Holding Shift engages sprinting to traverse Mirkea open fields quickly. The number keys 1 through 4 trigger active class abilities and slotted throwable utility flasks. Pressing C opens the comprehensive Character Sheet and Attribute Allocator, I summons your inventory backpack, M reveals the regional overworld map, Tab locks targeting onto dangerous elite monsters, and Esc pauses into the system menu.

Reading the combat HUD: Health, Stamina, and Concentration

The upper-left corner of the HUD anchors your three vital combat meters. The red Health bar tracks your remaining life; running out of health triggers a 30-second bleedout state in co-op or sends you back to the nearest Waygate in solo play. Below health sits the bright green Stamina bar, which governs melee attack combos, evasive rolls, sprint dashes, and shield block absorption.

The blue Concentration bar represents your mana and focus reserve, utilized when casting Magician elemental spells, Brawler shockwave warcries, or Shadow stealth abilities. While your Poise gauge remains hidden for clean visual immersion, subtle white particle sparks around your character outline warn when your defensive posture is within one hit of suffering a guard break stun.

The four primary attributes: Strength, Agility, Physique, and Intelligence

Every level gained toward the Early Access Level 25 cap grants two attribute points to invest across four foundational statistics: Strength, Agility, Physique, and Intelligence. Understanding how each stat influences combat parameters is essential for crafting an effective build.

Strength (STR) enhances physical melee damage scaling across greathammers, greatswords, and axes (+2.5% per point above 10). Furthermore, Strength improves shield block stability, reducing stamina consumption when guarding against heavy boss swings by up to 25%.

Agility (AGI) increases attack animation recovery speed, extends dodge roll invulnerability from 10 to 14 frames, and raises base stamina regeneration (+0.4 stamina per second for every 5 points). It also directly increases critical strike chance by +0.5% per point, making it the bedrock of dual-dagger and bow builds.

Physique (PHY) serves as the primary defensive anchor. Each point awards +15 maximum Health, raises natural resistance against Bleed and Poison debuffs, and increases base Poise by +5. High poise allows characters to swing through light enemy attacks without suffering stagger hitstun.

Intelligence (INT) expands maximum Concentration by +10 per point and boosts elemental spell damage multipliers for Fire, Frost, and Lightning by +3% per point above 10. High Intelligence also accelerates skill cooldown recovery rates.

Level 25 cap, diminishing returns, and allocation breakpoints

With the Early Access level cap set at 25, characters can earn a total of 48 bonus attribute points beyond their racial starting baseline. Dimraeth implements soft-cap diminishing returns starting at 30 points in any single attribute: points invested beyond 30 yield roughly half the incremental value of earlier points.

Because of this ceiling, hybrid stat distribution frequently outperforms extreme single-stat hyper-focusing. For instance, an aggressive frontline Brawler gains more survivability and sustained DPS by stopping at 26 Physique and 22 Strength rather than pumping 40 points into pure Strength.

Equipment attribute requirements and zero-cost respecs

Top-tier weapons and forged armor pieces enforce minimum attribute thresholds. For example, heavy forged Minotaur plate armor requires 20 Physique and 18 Strength to equip without incurring movement speed penalties, while advanced elemental staves demand at least 22 Intelligence.

Fortunately, you are never trapped by early mistakes. Visiting Mage Trainer Rahainer outside the Haven Academy steps provides 100% free, unlimited attribute and skill point refunds. You can reallocate your full point pool whenever you acquire a legendary drop or wish to transition from a ranged caster to a frontline tank.
